Also risk-averse by nature, we had a LOT of questions--some likely the same question asked 10 different ways. Matt always responded patiently, promptly, and never made us feel stupid for asking (oftentimes on weekends, evenings, while he had COVID, you name it). To the contrary, Matt encouraged us to keep asking them until we felt comfortable that we completely understood a certain financing option or package. He provided us with spreadsheets which he updated as interest rates changed (*climbed*) and our home search went from the abstract to very real houses we considered. In the end, we could not have asked for a better partner in our first home buying experience and we ended up in a home that we truly love. In our opinion, we had a much better experience than working directly with one of the big banks. We could not recommend Matt more! As an aside, when my mom had a question about her condo docs completely unrelated to our home buying process, Matt graciously spoke with her as a courtesy. I just mentioned this anecdote because it shows the kind of broker Matt is.
